PREGNANCY PHOTOSHOOT with ANA TERESA MIRANDA

What can I say, Ana knows how to rock the camera! She was counting the days until my belly was the way she wanted to do the photoshoot, hehe. I was around 22/23 weeks pregnant and I already had quite a bump.. Her goal was to mix a more intimate session with an exterior session around the farm. A minimal look with a white dress (the last b&w photo is absolutely my favorite!!) mixed with a black-lingerie-movie-like session (that last photo has a particular vibe.. I kinda like it). O que posso dizer, a Ana sabe "rockar" aquela máquina! Ela já contava os dias até a minha barriga estar do tamanho perfeito para podermos tirar as fotos, hehe. Estava por volta das 22/23 semanas de gestação e já tinha uma barriga consideravelmente grande.. O seu objectivo era uma junção de uma sessão mais íntima com uma sessão exterior, pela quinta. Um look mais minimalista com um vestido branco (a última foto em p&b é definitivamente a minha favorita!!) misturado com uma sessão estilo-filme-com-lingerie-preta (devo de dizer que a última foto tem uma vibe particular que até gosto bastante). Escolhi as minhas favoritas da tonelada de fotos que ela tirou. Podem também ver o site dela para mais info. Espero que gostem deste trabalho que fizemos. Eu adoro! Ela é demais! PREGNANCY UPDATE - BODY + BABY UPDATE

#23weekspregnant | baby's profile and mouth + nose

Well, much needed time off from here. Time is flying super fast! More than half is already done and there's more 83 days until this baby is out. It has been one super duper adventure and now I know when other moms used to say that feeling the baby kicks it's the best feeling in the world (but not funny when the baby the making kung-fu with your bladder...). Today it's the of week 28 meaning that I'm in my 7month of pregnancy. And so, I've come up with a list of ups and downs from this past month.

UPS

- I haven't felt that weight and pressure on my lower uterus for that last few weeks and thank God for that. 

- I've been wearing a pregnancy band on belly to help me with the weight and to help me move and walk a little bit more.

- We have a power baby!! Dude, those kicks are super strong and the baby already reacts to music! So cool!

- I've been sleeping better. But there are nights that I can count the howls noises in the woods.

- No more headaches (for now)

- Still fit into my clothes!!! 

- No stretch marks so far!
- No swollen feet or ankles. But my hands are getting bigger by the day...
- I gained 6kg in this last month!! (4kg are baby, placenta, boobs and extra fluids...)

DOWNS

- The back pain already began.
- The pain in my butt bone is killing me, specially during the night or if I bend in a bad position.. Like knives going through my skin.

- Still have my schedule of one hour and half of walking that has to be divided throughout the day. I can't walk more than that or my baby will start making pressure on my lower uterus...

- My skin and hair are already showing signs from the excess of hormones (new shampoo and body cream is needed!!!)

- Feeling more tired and it's getting harder to breathe.

- The itchiness that I feel around my belly button and on the sides drives me insane! Always with cream and oils close to me so that I can ease it down a bit.
- Breast and nipples hurt like HELL!
- Bipolar humor, I would say quite low and not-in-the-mood-for-everyone's-shitty-opinion kind of mood.

BABY UPDATE

Five weeks ago we went to our doc appointment to have our baby checked out. It was the mandatory 2nd trimester eco to see if everything is fine with the little one. Besides the excruciating pain I had for the next two/three days after this eco, bringing me to tears in pain (cause the baby was head down and the doc made my belly a punching bag to make him move. The baby was like "yeah, punch whatever you want, I ain't movin'" and he didn't move!), this little nugget is super duper good! It's being cooked well, the legs and arms are over the average length as well the weight (594gr). It's a big baby and that's why my belly is stretching and getting big super fast (it's finding skin in places I didn't know I had!). It has the cutest little nose and mouth... Aww, my heart skipped a beat after I saw that! Me, on the other hand, rest is mandatory! Still with the rules "no hard lifting, rest as much as possible, take a calm and easy lifestyle, walk a little but just the essential, no stress and little to no driving". Since I have a lower uterus and placenta, it can lead to a premature labor if I do anything that requires strength. And there's no way this baby is leaving this belly before July!! About the names, we already have a girl's name but it's being quite hard to find a boy's name... The responsibility its huge!

Bem pessoal, este tempo off do blog foi bem necessário. Mais de metade desta gravidez já foi e a rapidez com que o tempo está a passar é assustador! A partir de hoje, faltam 83 dias até o bebé nascer! Holy mother... Tem sido uma mega aventura cheia de altos e baixos, e agora entendo quando outras grávidas dizem que sentir o bebé mexer é uma das melhores sensações do mundo (menos quando o bebé resolver abraçar ou fazer kung-fu com a bexiga. #notcool). Hoje é o último dia da semana 28 o que significa que no 7º mês de gravidez. Como tal, decidi fazer uma pequena lista de ups & downs deste último mês:

UPS
- Já não sinto a pressão que sentia no colo do útero o que me facilita o andar e me deixa mais confortável.
- Há já algum tempo que uso uma faixa de gravidez que me ajuda a suportar o peso da barriga e facilita as minhas caminhadas.
- Temos um bebé poderoso!! Dude, estes pontapés, cabeçadas ou lá o que seja são fortes e persistentes. E já reage a música! Tão fixe!
- Tenho noites em que já durmo melhor, mas tem outras em que consigo contar os barulhos das corujas, no bosque.
- Já não tenho dores de cabeça (por enquanto)
- A minha roupa ainda me serve!!!!
- Não tenho estrias!
- Os meus pés e tornozelos ainda não incharam. O mesmo não posso dizer das minhas mãos...
- Ganhei 6kg no último mês (4kg são bebé, mais placenta, peito e líquidos extras...)

DOWNS
- A dor de costas já começou...
- A dor no coxis destrói-me! Há dias que ando que é uma maravilha e há outros que parece que levei porrada na anca e mal consigo andar. Sei que é isto tudo a alargar, mas holly shit, dói imenso! Talvez o maior desconforto que tive até agora...
- Continuo com o tempo reduzido para andar e tudo mais. Não mais que hora e meia bem dividida pelo dia inteiro senão esta criança começa a fazer pressão onde não deve.
- O meu cabelo e a minha pele já demonstram sinais de excesso de hormonas, not cool. (novos cremes e shampoos são necessário!)
- Sinto-me mais cansada e já se torna dificil de respirar.
- As comichões na zona do umbigo e lateral da barriga dá comigo em doida! Ando sempre com cremes e óleos por perto para poder aliviar um pouco. Nem sei onde vou buscar tanta pele...
- Peito e mamilos DOIEM COMÓ CARAÇAS! 
- Humor bipolar. Diria até no ponto de erupção e na vibe de não-tenho-paciência-para-a-vossa-opinião-de-m***a sobre a minha barriga.

BABY UPDATE
Há cinco semanas fomos à nossa consulta de 2º trimestre para fazer um check-up no baby. É mandatória e é uma forma de sabermos se o baby está a desenvolver-se dentro dos parâmetros e se não tem nenhuma deficiência. Colocando de parte as dores horríveis com que fiquei após esta ecografia, ao ponto de me deixar a chorar com dores (porque o bebé estava de cabeça para baixo e o médico queria à força toda fazê-lo mudar de posição, então fez da minha barriga um saco de box... escusado será dizer que a criança ficou "yeah, bate a vontade que eu daqui não me mexo!" e não se mexeu!), este pequeno ser está em perfeitas condições fisicas! Está a ser bem cozinhado cá dentro, tem os membros com comprimento acima da média, tal como peso (594gr). É um bebé grande e é por isso que a minha barriga está a ter um super crescimento e a esticar por onde nem sabia que tinha pele. Tem o nariz e a boca mais fofos que já vi... Até o meu coração falhou um batimento quando vi! Em relação a mim, descanso continua a ser mandatório! Ainda com as regras "sem fazer esforços, sem levantar pesos, descansar o máximo possível, caminhar apenas o essencial, evitar stress e reduzir na condução". Como tempo um colo do útero pequeno e baixo, tal como a placenta, poderá levar a um parto prematuro se eu abusar no estilo de vida. Portanto, este bebé não irá sair daqui antes de Julho! Em relação a nomes, já temos para rapariga mas está a tornar-se complicado encontrar no nome perfeito para rapaz... É uma enorme responsabilidade!

Se tem estado céu azul e sol quentinho, hoje está "moody" e chuvoso. Espero que passem o vosso Domingo aconchegados e no meio de cuddles. It's Marck, it's Sunday and it's about to rain. Geez... Nevertheless, here's an outfit post #pregnancyfashion haha. It's going to be fun and challenging for me to style my fast growing belly but BRING IT ON, I'm ready. Tones of ideas and I cannot wait to have our walking closet organized so that I can start putting aside the pieces that will only fit me after July. Right now, I'm all about stretchy fabrics like this dress I bought on sales ( I just put a t-shirt over it because is a strappy dress with open back) plus my usual goodies, and the result is a semi Spring outfit 'cause it was quite hot on that day. Já estamos em Março, já é Domingo, e está prestes a chover. Nossa... No entanto, aqui têm um outfit post #pregnancyfashion haha. Vai ser super desafiante e divertido saber o que vestir com esta barriga a crescer à velocidade da luz. Mas eu estou preparada portanto BRING IT ON! Já tenho imensas ideias e mal posso esperar para que o nosso walking closet esteja prontinho para que eu possa começar a seleccionar o que apenas me irá servir depois de Julho. De momento, tudo o que for tecido de malha ou com elastano é bem vindo! Tal como este vestido que comprei nos saldos (meti uma t-shirt por cima porque é um vestido de alças com as costas abertas); adicionando mais uns goodies e o resultado é o look semi-primaveril porque já estava um ligeiro bafo nesse dia. PREGNANCY UPDATE - 18 WEEKS + UPS & DOWNS

Current state: ending my 18th week of pregnancy

Feelings: overwhelmed, happy, worried and excited!

Body status: no weight gained, belly is growing super fast and baby is kicking.

Current mood: Being home most of the time makes me lazy... I've trying to finish this post for 4 days now... #pregnancylife #lazyaf

(Bellow you have some mixed thoughts of my pregnancy so far. I was just writing according to whatever came to my mind. No specific order.)

This is still a dream that I'm wishing to end the best way possible. Of course, the fear and the scare of something happening to my baby is constant... Every slight cramp or pain that I feel sets me on alert (and my mom is the first one I talk every time something new happens to my body) but at the same time it's normal because my body is creating the miracle of life. I'm almost at the half of my pregnancy; my high waist jeans don't fit me anymore (dresses, suit pants with elastic band and sweatpants are my best friends) and I'm no longer working due to some complications on my 4 month of pregnancy. So, this staying-home-without-doing-any-effort is killing my inspiration and motivation for doing anything productive. Besides the immense amount of sleep I need to take, there are days that I feel like Wonder Woman and want to do it all! I didn't have any morning sickness, no loss of appetite (and I eat more than I used to), I try to drink 2l of water each day, (almost) no sugar allowed, and I try to eat all the healthy goodies I can eat. Let's say that this baby is sucking every food I put inside my body meaning that I didn't gained any weight so far. I'm not complaining at all, it will be easier for me to go back to my normal shape once my baby is out. But there's one thing that bothers me the most: not being able to do anything on my own. Meaning, going grocery shopping, walking my dogs, carry even the feathery weight, and sometimes just walking on the street. For someone that considers herself independent, it's quite hard to depend on everyone for almost everything... It just gets on my nerves on new level of frustration! That means that I have to call my fiancé 30x times for him to help me with any small project I might want to do. Or just wait 4 more months to do it... None of the less, I'm overjoyed for being a mother and to have the most wonderful father to my baby. Xoxo

Tempo de gestação: a terminar a 18ª semana de gravidez

Estado do meu corpo: não ganhei peso, a barriga cresce super rápido e o bebé já dá pontapés.

Mood do momento: Isto de estar muito tempo em cada aborrece-me de todas as formas. Para terem noção, estou para terminar este post há quase 4 dias... #vidadegravida #lazyaf

(Em baixo têm alguns pensamentos e linhas random de como tem sido a minha gravidez até agora. Nenhuma ordem específica, apenas vou escrevendo de acordo com o que vem à minha cabeça)

A verdade é que isto ainda me parece que sonho; um sonho que eu quero que termine da melhor forma possível. Não vou mentir e dizer que o medo e o susto de que algo possa correr mal com o meu bebé não está presente, porque está. Todos os dias... A mais pequena cãimbra ou dor deixa-me em modo alerta (e a minha mãe é a primeira pessoa a ligar e com quem falo cada vez que surge algo novo no meu corpo; "because mom is mom") mas ao mesmo tempo sei que é normal todas estas alterações que estão a acontecer porque neste momento o meu corpo está a gerar o milagre da vida. Estou quase a meio da minha gravidez, grande parte dos meus jeans já não aperta porque o epicentro está gigante (ou seja, vestidos, calças de fato que tenham elástico e calças de fato de treino são as minhas melhores amigas(os)); já não me encontro a trabalhar devido a complicações que surgiram no 4º mês de gravidez  (prioridades estabelecidas = check!). Portanto, este estado de ficar-em-casa-sem-fazer-um-coño está a matar a minha motivação e inspiração para fazer o que quer que seja de produtivo (e eu tenho tantas ideias... mas e tirar o cu da cama?!). Para além da quantidade enorme de sono que devo de realizar (mais as sestas que já faço), tenho dias em que me sinto como a Wonder Woman e apetece fazer tudo ao mesmo tempo! Não tive nenhum enjoo até agora, nada que me afectasse fisicamente ao ponto de não conseguir comer, aliás, como mais do que comia e ainda não ganhei peso! O bebé anda a sugar tudo o que a mommy mete para dentro do corpo, hehe (vai nascer um leitãozinho(a) daqui... oh lord). E até agradeço isso, pois será mais fácil voltar à minha forma física anterior. O que mais me incomoda, acima de tudo, é o não conseguir fazer as coisas sozinha (ou grande parte delas): se preciso de ir as compras, não posso carregar com os sacos; se preciso de ir ao IKEA, não posso carregar com os pesos das caixas; se quero ir dar uma volta, não convém ir sozinha se for por muito tempo; quero ir passear os meus cães, tenho o meu homem a tomar conta de mim, ao longe... Para quem se considera uma mulher independente e que sempre gostou de fazer as coisas sozinha, torna-se desmotivante ao ponto de me irritar profundamente. Mas, é tudo a favor do meu filho/filha e eu só tenho que engolir o sapo e chamar 30x o meu homem para me ajudar no quer que seja. Mas uma coisa é certa, estou a adorar estar grávida e todo o processo que envolve a gravidez. Xoxo

Portanto, já que esta barriguinha está a ficar cada vez maior, ando à caça de vestidos que sejam fofos, elásticos e confortáveis de como a que os posso usar durante e após a gravidez. E este acabou de me cativar! Acho que ficará super porreiro com um biker jacket sobre os ombros e uns sapatos rasos ou até mesmo ténis. Porque neste momento é tudo à base de cool + confortável. Well, here's the surprise and the reason why I have been so absent lately. Our first baby, our crazy and epic adventure is about to start! I feel beyond blessed and grateful to have the ability to create a life inside of me. We couldn't be more happier... Of course it had its ups and down and I will tell you all about it in the next belly update. But, just look at that 3D eco!!!! I mean, how cute is he/she? So adorable... This eco was taken on my 13 weeks pregnant (which means end of 1st trimester = 3 months pregnant). The baby wasn't more than 7 cm from head to hip.

Portanto, aqui está a razão pela qual tenho estado ausente do blog e redes sociais. O nosso primeiro bebé, a nossa aventura mais louca e épica está prestes a começar. Sinto-me abençoada por ter a capacidade de gerar uma vida dentro de mim. A nossa felicidade transborda... É claro que já teve os seus altos e baixos e tentarei criar um post a explicar tudo. Mas, olhem só para a eco em 3D!!! Opá, que coisinha fofa que ali está! Ele/ela não está adorável? Esta eco foi feita quando estava de 13 semanas (o que significa que já estava no final do 1º Trimestre = 3 meses de gravidez). O bebé não tinha mais do que 7cm da cabeça até à anca.

Continuarei a fazer o update dos outfits e tudo o resto, apenas acrescentando este update de tempos a tempos. Espero que tenham uma boa semana e mantenham-se quentes. xoxo*

That blazer was on of those sales goodies I found in store and it was the last one!! It's a size L but I don't care, hehe. Went for something more classic from what I've been wearing lately, combined with those edgy-cool-retro vibe sunnies. They are super-cool!! I kinda like to wear with total black outfit or a total white outfit (still have to try the white outfit). This is a type of rocker chic meets tartan kinda look, all black and then this pop of color. 2019 chegou! Holly sh*t!! Nem acredito que 2018 passou num piscar de olhos... E desculpem, mas eu tenho estado demasiado preguiçosa para publicar o que quer que seja por aqui que valha o vosso tempo no meu blog. Mas estou de volta, e com um dos últimos outfits que tirei em Dezembro. E posso oficialmente dizer que tenho um casaco vermelho. Yap, eu, a usar vermelho, confere, está a acontecer... Até curto usar este tipo de cor com uma base de básicos pretos ou brancos (ainda tenho que experimentar com básicos brancos). É um look estilo rocker-chic descobre tartan, hehe. New week, old outfit. Okay, not that old.. It's from last week. But with work I didn't post it when I wanted to. MO has a way of testing me to get out of my comfort zone and this time they sent a pink knit scarf for me to style it. After a couple of minutes staring at my closet, I decided to go a bit edgy on the jacket and super simple on the rest of the outfit. Hair pulled back on a braid and done! Nova semana, um outfit antigo. Okay, é da semana passada! Com trabalho e horário apertado não o partilhei quando tencionava fazer. MO tem uma forma única de me testar e de tentar tirar da minha zona de conforto, e desta vez foi com um cachecol cor-de-rosa com o qual tinha que criar um look. Após alguns minutos a olhar para o roupeiro, decidi por algo mais "edgy" no que toca ao casaco e mais simples em relação ao resto do outfit. Com uma trança no cabelo, para dar aquele ar mais "arranjadinho" e boom, feito! Estilo #rockerchic com um toque rosinha. O que acham? xoxo

Who's already made damage to the wallet on this Black Friday (week)? Not me... I'm starting not to like Black Friday deals and all that immense amount of publicity that happens all around it. But, if I'm ever to spent a cent on this day is on tech goodies, like that Marshall baby! I have my eyes on it for ages and this slim version is even more elegant than the chunky one. The other pieces are on my wishlist but the discount is not that big (it's almost like sales season) and I can wait a bit longer to have them. xoxo

Quem é que já fez estragos na carteira durante a Black Friday (semana)?! Eu não... Começo a não achar muita piada aos negócios da Black Friday e a toda a imensa publicidade que gira em torno deste dia (ou semana). No entanto, se tiver que gastar algum cêntimo durante este dia, será na parte tecnologica, como esta coluna da Marshall! Tenho estado de olho nela há algum tempo e esta versão slim é bastante elegante que a versão gorducha. As outras peças que estão na lista não compensa o uso do desconto na BF pois não é assim tão grande (é quase como se fosse época de saldos) e não me importo de esperar mais um pouco para as ter. xoxo

Alway so serious on my photos... Oh well, cannot help it! Here's a more classic outfit from what I've been wearing lately. This coat was offered to be last week by an old lady who's super close to my fiancé's family. She was always telling "Maria, I have a coat that would fit you perfectly, and I haven't wore it in almost 25 years". And I was like "well, bring it over! I'll try it for you!". As soon as I put the coat on it looks like was made for me: fits perfectly and the quality is over the top. The super long, warm and it has a classic cut that never goes out of style. What do you think of it? I'm super in love with it! xoxo

Caramba, estou sempre séria nas fotografias... Não o consigo evitar! Enfim, aqui têm um look mais clássico do que tenho usado ultimamente. Este casaco foi-me oferecido por uma senhora idosa, amiga querida da família do meu noivo. Ela estava sempre a dizer "Maria, tenho o casaco perfeito para ti lá em casa e eu nem o uso há mais de 25 anos!". E eu disse logo "Ora, então traga-o cá e eu experimento-o!". Assim que o experimentei parecia que tinha sido feito para mim: assenta na perfeição e a qualidade é acima do normal. É comprido, quente e tem um corte clássico que nunca fica fora de moda. Happy Weekend, loves! Well, here some of my recent, but no so recent, cravings: high price cardholder. It's an investment... from the past 1 year and half that my wallet is nothing more than a cardholder. Coins are a problem now...

My current cardholder is from Parfois in emerald green. Not a favorite, but does the job nicely. Still trying to decide on each I want, but surely it will be black, hehe!

Bom fim-de-semana, loves! Bem, aqui está a minha recente, mas não tão recente, desejo: porta-cartões. Será um investimento... Tem sido o meu estilo de carteira há cerca de ano e meio e nada mais. Agora as moedas são um problema...

De momento, o meu porta-cartões é da Parfois, em verde esmeralda. Não é um favorito, mas por agora serve. Ainda não sei qual quero, mas obviamente que será preto, hehe!

Happy weekend, loves! Here's a quick post of my outfit from yesterday. Quite rock&roll(ish) type of look but I felt powerful and super cool, hehe. Too much? Maybe, but I don't care. I was in the mood for #badgirl vibes. In between the storm and the quietness of the rain I manage to snap a few shots. That jacket is for sure the most heavy and cooler I own (so far). Bom fim-de-semana, loves! Aqui têm um post rápido sobre o que usei ontem. Um bocado rock&roll(ish) tipo de look mas senti-me bastante poderosa e super cool. Demasiado? Talvez, mas nem me interessa. Estava no mood para #badgirl vibes. Consegui tirar umas fotos rápidas enquanto a tempestade de ontem fez uma pausa na intensa chuva e vento. Este casaco é sem dúvida o mais pesado e mais cool que tenho (até agora). A secção de homem é a melhor para encontrar tesourinhos como este. Bom Domingo, babes! Aqui estão alguns dos meus favoritos e algo que usaria neste Domingo chuvoso. Hoje vamos passar o dia na casa de uns amigos da familia do meu homem, e este seria um #outfit ideal. E estou ansiosa por ter aqueles sapatos (#shoelover aqui!!!!!). É um bom exemplo de básicos com peças "statement". Qual é a vossa favorita?

Yes, another outfit post and holiday tomorrow! And it is my day off which means spending the whole morning in bed. This was an outfit I wore last Friday when I was in Porto for a tour. Besides that, I was lucky enough to finally meet Miguel Gouveia from the blog Pieces of Me. You guys don't know how many times we tried to program something.. But life wouldn't let us. And last Friday was the day! He's a super funny guy, very smart and full of humor. I would say that he's even better than his blog shows. The conversation was good, no awkward silences and we were giving tips and tricks to each other about blogging and photo editing. And of course, I took some photos of him. You can see the post here. We are going to definitely meet again, and with more time. For sure!! But about this look, it's something quite simple and cozy. That jacket was bought on Zara Man's Section on Sales, it was hidden on a corner and as soon as I spotted it I thought "oh yeah, you're so mine...". It is the warmest coat so far. Paired with black basics and white sneakers, I was ready to face a group of Turkish people. Have a wonderful night, loves.

Sim, mais um outfit post e amanhã é feriado! É o meu dia de folga e com toda a certezinha será passado enfiada em Vale dos Lençóis. Este é o outfit que usei na Sexta-feira passada, quando fui ao Porto para realizar um tour. Para além disso, finalmente tive a oportunidade de conhecer o Miguel Gouveia, do blog Pieces of Me. Não têm noção das vezes que tentamos combinar algo... Mas a vida nunca deixava. Mas Sexta-feira foi o dia! Ele é super divertido, muito inteligente e cheio de humor. Direi até que o blog apenas transmite parte da sua essência. A conversa foi fluída, sem aqueles silêncios esquisitos pelo meio, e sempre com trocas de dicas e truques para posts e edição de fotografia. E claro que lhe tirei fotos! Podem ver o post dele aqui. Definitivamente que nos iremos encontrar mais vezes, e com mais tempo. De certeza! Mas agora sobre este look, é algo bastante simples e confortável. O casaco é da Zara Man e é um daqueles achados magníficos na secção dos Saldos. Um dos casacos mais quentes que tenho. Combinado com básicos pretos e ténis brancos, é o look perfeito para enfrentar um grupo de Turcos pela cidade do Porto. Tenham uma óptima noite, loves!
